One of the later additions to the village is Jubilee House Rehabilitation and Therapy Centre of the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund which was opened on Wednesday the 19th of April 1995 by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra.
The centre is situated in 10 acres of ground now known as Eamont Park off Lowther Glen. There are 40 en-suite rooms, 2 of these are specially equipped for the disabled, also included are a treatment area, gymnasium, hydrotherapy pool and leisure pool.
